What a ride! James Stellos' one-man show "tEMPOARY sANITY" is a funny and heartfelt study in how to find enlightenment from random people hopping into - and out of - an Uber driver's car. Mr. Stellos hits the right notes with each character, the several vignettes orbiting around his narration as the driver. Minimally, but imaginatively, staged, I got the sense of his car driving back and forth, picking up riders, and receiving bits of wisdom in return. True theatre, truthfully performed!

A deeply moving theatrical experience, the power of this work lies squarely in its universality; the play speaks not only to each of us but in essence for each of us. Indeed, who among us does not nurture the belief that there exists somewhere a place where we can be our most authentic and realized self. And seeking that liminal space of temporary sanity, and in deference to that place, we willingly submit to repeated forays into our hopes and dreams at the risk of becoming too transparent and vulnerable. Thus we find ourselves no closer but filled with renewed strength to continue to fight. And then we dream some more. See this play if you can.

One brilliant actor and two chairs!
"Temporary Sanity" the one-man show, is beautifully written and acted by James Stellos. He takes us on an Uber ride and brings the passengers alive with depth, humor and compassion. He morphs from one to another seamlessly with wonderfully drawn characters. They are funny, sad.

Watching James Stellos' one-man play was a truly unforgettable experience. He took us on a journey inspired by his time as an Uber driver, sharing the raw, real (or are they real...?) stories of the people he met along the way. His performance was so genuine and vulnerable—he switched between characters effortlessly, making each one feel so real and full of life. What really stood out to me was how deeply he connected with the humanity behind each story, showing the humor, the heartache, and everything in between. I hope to see it again someday. Bravo!!
